Holidays can be tricky times — while you can stay away from those dreaded books and assignments, you also need to keep yourself entertained, especially with so much free time in hand. Luckily, now there are so many things to do, that one can stay both busy and entertained during holidays. We bring you some ideas that can enliven your forthcoming holidays.

Up, down and away

Vacations are the perfect times to travel. While travelling with family is normal, you can also take a slightly more adventurous route and go on a tour with friends. School often organise very interesting trips during vacations, and while you may not initially relish the idea of seeing folks from your class during holidays, such trips are often very fun-filled. These days, special treks and trips are also organised for young travellers where all their needs and safety are kept in mind.

Trekking is also becoming very popular among youngsters, but make sure you have someone experienced with you, especially if you plan to conquer difficult terrains. Specialised adventure holidays may appeal to those who want to enjoy an action-packed vacation.

Culture vultures

Holidays can be an apt period to pursue a hobby or learn something new – a sport, dance, music or some other art. While mastering all the intricacies of any art form in the span of one vacation may not be possible, one can always start by enrolling for a workshop that will teach you the basics. If you like the activity, you can even consider taking up regular classes after your vacations.
