It creeps up suddenly and surprises you completely, the Kumbhalgarh fort. It sure does. There you are walking up these thick green hills on a well paved road, no sign of any fort. Just the occasional chirping of insects and bird cries.

And then you turn around a corner and there she is: Kumbhalgarh. By far one of the most majestic forts in the country, the fort reportedly boasts of the second largest wall in the world. With a perimeter of 36km, Kumbhalgarh is one of those places which no picture can ever do justice.

You know what I am talking about. You may take all the pictures in the world with the fanciest camera and yet you will not capture the splendour of the place.
