Mussoorie, Hilltop

NH 72A

Delhi to Mussoorie (Uttaranchal) is 283 km and takes approx 7 hrs by road.

Mussoorie is about a four and half hour drive from Delhi, but unless you leave Delhi very early in the morning, you will encounter traffic that makes the trip significantly longer. The town is on NH 72A (Chhutmalpur to Dehradun). The road is two-laned, but not very wide. There may be many slow-moving vehicles at harvest times, and pilgrims walking on the road in late July and early August. The journey is scenic with many picturesque photo opportunities on the way.

Fuel

Now turn right at Indraprashta Marg and Pass by Delhi Police Headquarters on the left. Next turn left toward Mahatma Gandhi Marg/NH 2. Continue straight onto Mahatma Gandhi Marg/NH 2. Pass by Shah Burj on the left Slight right at Mahatma Gandhi Marg/NH 1 Bypass. Take the ramp onto ISBT Rd and Turn left at Yamuna Marginal Bandh Marg. Continue onto Pushta Rd. Pass by Central Reserve Police Force and Rapid Action Force Camp on the left. Continue onto Baghpat Rd. Turn left at State Highway 57/SH 57 Turn right at State Highway 14/SH 14. Now Turn left toward NH 58 and make a Slight left at NH 58. Pass by Nextech Solutions on the right. Make a slight left at State Highway 59/SH 59 Refuel and comfort stop at  Petrol Pump on the right. Continue onto NH 73 and turn right at NH 72A. Pass by Petrol Pump (on the left in 33.3 mi). Turn right at Saharanpur Chowk to stay on NH 72A. Take the 3rd left onto Paltan Bazar Rd. Pass by Kumar Sweet Shop. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Rajpur Rd Pass by Universal Filling Station on the left. After about 2 kms, turn right and make a Slight left toward Rajpur Rd. Now Take the 1st left toward Rajpur Rd  and then Turn right at Rajpur Rd.
