  • Five things to do in Munnar by Aarti

Sprawling tea plantations surrounds this beautiful and serene hill station Munnar. The soothing landscapes, scenic location and quiet atmosphere all invite visitors through the year, giving them the opportunity to unwind and unleash the adventurous side hidden within. The name Munnar (which means ’3 Rivers’ in Tamil) owes its name to the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Kundala and Nallathanni. Once referred to as the summer resort for the British government, it is also known as the Kashmir of South India. Nature lovers can spend their days amidst the lush tea plantations and rolling hills, while adventure seekers can go trekking along the Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India or go paragliding.
