Coronation Bridge

One of the most exemplary colonial structures in Siliguri, and an important landmark in North Bengal, the Coronation Bridge, was built by the British. Also commonly called Sevoke Bridge and Bhag Pool by the locals in the region, it boasts a gigantic arch sprawling over River Teesta. 

The bridge is part of the NH-17 and connects the districts of Kalimpong and Darjeeling. Apart from being a visual spectacle, the bridge also has a rich history. It was made to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth and King George VI. One of the largest temples in India dedicated to Lord Krishna, this ISKCON temple is a popular Siliguri tourist place. Whether you are an atheist or an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, you must visit the temple to admire the beauty of the place and revel in the tranquil environment.

Salugara Monastery

Located on the outskirts, it is one of the most popular tourist places near SiliguriFounded by the followers of his Holiness Dalai Lama, it is one of the most prominent Buddhist shrines in the region and an important place of worship for the Buddhists residing in and around Siliguri. 

Inside the monastery is a gigantic 100-feet tall White Stupa adorned with ornate designs. Another major attraction at the monastery is the huge prayer wheel. Dudhia
