I had a short 2 day visit and the resort is so good i did not feel the need to move out. We had a lovely time enjoying all the activities within the resort. Nevertheless you can contact the travel desk and visit Dubare elephant camp, Little Tibet and Madikeri Fort. All the above and Mandalpatti (walk through the clouds) a mountain ridge i had visited when i had stayed at Coorg. Enjoy..... Virajpet is one of the best

Alleppey: it's more of a hotel. So enjoying with family may seem restricted. But activities wise options are many in alleppey Arookutty: it's a very small resort with limited access to nature and activities. So would not recommend it. But it has rooms with kitchenette and its very close to kochi. That wise it's a good option Cherai: it's the best option. Quite spacious resort. Beach is clean and very near. Lot of activities and close to kochi. Only disadvantage is that rooms don't have kitchenette

These are two different settings and not comparable. One is beach n other is city/hills. So pls Donot compare. Resort per se..Udaipur is in the outskirts by the highway side...difficult to commute to city. Either hire resort car at high price or look out for an autorickshaw outside. Infact, udaipur give more of a hotel feeling than resort
