It all began as a random plan!! Ever since we took membership with Club Mahindra, we were planning a holiday for quite a while and we ended up booking this resort at Poovar, Kerala for 4 nights. The booking was difficult to get since the bookings are made well in advance but luckily, we got a slot for 4 nights as we wanted and the booking experience was smooth.

All the check-in formalities could be done online so we did not wait at the reception at all upon arrival at the resort. The Resort is located serenely in nature and close to the water body. We took a self-driven car which gave us the flexibility to visit all the nearby locations viz. Padmanabhapuram Palace, Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari, Kovalam Beach, Azhimala Shiv Temple, etc. Ideally, the resort has ample activities and the perfect ambiance to chill and spend quality time with yourself and your family.

The food was the best and had enough variety to satisfy your hunger pangs in all different ways on different days. All in all, it was our family's first visit to Kerala and CM did make this "God's Own Country" feel like heaven. My kids, especially my 3.5-year-old son still has the hangover of Poovar even after a month past the holiday.

Really, I am glad that I have taken a membership with CM. It really has invoked the true sense of holidaying within us!! A big THANK YOU to the CM team and all their staff at Poovar Resort. Cheers!!!
