We went to Kensville Golf and Country Club, which is an associate resort, in the last week of November 2021. The huge estate is covered by beautiful, natural scenery and perfectly manicured lawns as befits a golf club of its stature. It is 65 km from Ahmedabad Airport, and the residential part of the resort is one km inside the main gate.

The food, served only a la carte, is delicious. The resort is 17 km from Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary which we visited one morning and enjoyed watching the birds that were residents as well as migrants there. We had a sumptuous traditional meal on one of the islands of Nal Sarovar. Some of the birds seen at Nal Sarovar are also seen in Kensville Golf Club.

The large size of the resort also ensures a sense of total calm and peace even when marriage receptions are held in the lawns. This resort is well worth spending three to four nights.
