We were visiting Ooty after many years and decided to go in February 2023 which is off-season and there is little chance of rain. We chose Danish Villa over Derby Green. Danish Villa, with 15 rooms is possibly the smallest of the Club Mahindra resorts. We were very happy with our choice because we found that it easily ranks as one of the highest in hospitality among all the resorts.

Danish Villa is located on a hillside. I have attached a photograph of a part of Ooty township which is seen from there. We used the resort Travel Desk to do all the local sightseeing which consisted of the Pykara section and the Ooty section. We visited the Pykara sights in the forenoon. These were the Pine Forest, Shooting Spot, Pykara Dam, Pykara Lake (photograph attached) and Pykara Falls (photograph of a part of Pykara Falls attached).

We visited the Ooty sights in the afternoon and evening. These were Doddabetta Peak, the Tea Factory, the Chocolate Factory and the Botanical Garden. We were unable to visit Ooty Lake because of a traffic jam which delayed us. I have attached a photograph of a view of Ooty from the Telescope House at Doddabetta Peak. Our stay was made very pleasant by Ramu, Sharon, Shakespeare, Venugopal, Ravikumar and other staff members whose names we don't remember. We took Ramu's advice to plan our sightseeing. The hospitality of the staff, the location and the ambience around Danish Villa make it a very pleasant resort for all members to enjoy their holiday.
