Beautiful Kashmir and beautiful the surroundings in Dal Lake Srinagar. Me and my husband after marriage during our honeymoon period visited this beautiful houseboat named 'Helen of Troy' affiliated with Club Mahindra in month of March 2022.

The location was very beautiful surrounded by mountains and the chirping of birds in the evening making the sky more peaceful. We stayed there for three days and two nights. The rooms of the houseboat were beautifully décor with ancient design embroidery on walls and furniture. Also, inside the houseboat, there was a separate kitchen for guests and they use to make homemade cooked food.

In the evening time, we used to sit on the deck of the houseboat and enjoyed drinks and food with light music. All in all, it's a magical feeling and especially when you are in the best company. Also, we had a Shikara ride which is the main attraction sport in Dal Lake.

There was a floating market while on the shikara ride and we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The floating market is especially famous for buying beautiful handmade pashmina clothes which are very warm to wear especially in Kashmir. Also, there people sell many things like wafers, drinks, fruits, vegetables, etc., in that Shikara and they use to deliver in each houseboat. So, that was the best part we have seen there and liked a lot.

All in all, it was a good experience in the houseboat by Club Mahindra.
