After forced confinement for nearly 7 months, we launched our maiden trip. Lake Pavna Resort, Tungi - being the nearest to our city, our family favorite, and also where we could go in our car was chosen – for our FIRST POST LOCKDOWN HOLIDAY. It was a TWO day holiday from 23rd to 25th Nov. 2020. We TRAVELED WITH CONFIDENCE for we knew while you are here - It is the VIRUS that will be scared to reach us. FULL MARKS for adhering to COVID protocols! - From invasive testing at the reception to room service, evening outdoor holiday activity, kids entertainment, dining, gourmet express service, house-keeping – contactless procedures made us relaxed.

We freely enjoyed the toys of Nature. We walked long distances, oxygenated our lungs, had a good family time witnessing the evening magic show and Maharashtra cultural evening. It was such a fulfilling moment when my seven-year daughter rode the tri-cycle with my parents on the side pillion. It was a sunny day, so she had the best of times taking around and bringing a glass of water for us from the cooler. I think these small joys of life remain etched in the minds forever! Jauhar's was an added attraction within the resort premise - a shop that sells linen and dress materials.

The restaurant area was beautifully lit-up! Except for the infinity and the swimming pools that went dry because of COVID protocol guidelines, and the favorite Toy train of kids and adults alike that we sorely missed – EVERY INCH of the resort was full of life. Serving every guest with an Assisted Buffet should have been a pain for the staff, but they did with a smile. This initiative is one more step towards social distancing and hygiene so that the guests do NOT touch the buffet ladles.

There was a definite difference one would find between the normal and the new normal, solely to safeguard the wellbeing of the guests who remain a huge responsibility of the organization. It was nice to see the reception staff serving water ONLY on request. That was to ensure social distancing. They had the stanchions installed - separately for BOTH check-ins and check-out exit lanes.

If you go near the temp check machine WITHOUT A MASK, it alerts you to wear a mask and ONLY THEN will notify your temperature. Overall, the atmosphere was happy, quiet, and calm. The constant reminders requesting to follow the safety protocols - through the posters and the moving slide shows at the reception were a responsible alert. Mr. Siddhant at the reception and Jabbar Sheikh from house-keeping are two notable names, I would like to mention. In one word- it was an AHA HOLIDAY! Go, Guys! Book it!
