Himalayas have always held a profound significance in our lives. If you are a nature lover Himachal offers you a wide range of options such as valleys, mountains, ancient monasteries, historical sites, lakes, mountain passes, the list goes on. Thanks to Club Mahindra (CM) which offers you to experience these beauties with luxury. We visited CM Dharamshala in May, and though it was peak summer, we witnessed cool weather with few light showers. The resort is just 20 minutes from the airport. The staff was very courteous, and we had a special Himachali-style welcome. We had decided to rest the day we arrived due to hectic travel the previous day. The next day we started afresh to witness the most beautiful Cricket stadium which we had always admired on television. Then we visited the War Memorial, Skyway – this was not in our plan but it was an exhilarating experience to watch the beauty of mountains through the ropeway, it is by Tata and very well maintained. The Skyway opens to Mc Leod Gang, where we visited the Dalai Lama complex. In Mc Leod Gang you get the best shopping experience of Himachal in my view. There are umpteen restaurants in this area, we had lunch and headed to Bhagsunath temple and the adjoining Bhagsu waterfalls. We never expected the waterfall to soar so highly even during summer. The water was freezing, yet the feeling was amazing. We saw Dal lake which was heavily crowded and decided to move on to Naddi to witness the sunset. Many restaurants provide a sunset view, but we picked one that not only had the best view but also the best food. The next day we visited Ban Ganga temple, Jain temple, Kangra fort, and Brijeshwari temple. Ban Ganga has a beautiful school of fish which attracts visitors. Kangra Fort is huge and offers a picturesque view of the city. Brijeshwari Devi temple is a Shakti peet and is usually crowded, one must plan their timings. In 2 days we could cover almost all the famous places of Dharamshala, we decided to rest as we had a long journey to Manali the next day.
