Golden landmark resort is spread out. Open space and greenery in plenty. The vehicle doesn't reach up to reception. Need to walk about 50 meters to reach reception. Furnishing is average. Food is good but not elaborate. Pricing also is reasonable. Sari shop at the lobby gives a good option for Mysore silks at a reasonable price.

Many historical places can be covered from here. Chamundi temple, city palace, museum, Brindavan garden, sriranga pattanam etc. cannot be missed out. Suka vana an aviary - closed temporarily due to covid - help to see many exotic birds.

Mysore zoological park also is famous. Belur, Halebeedu and Shravanabelagola also can be covered from here. Halebeedu temple is magnificent. Shravanabelagola is on the hill and tests the stamina. Overall a nice experience and used it as a base point to cover many important landmarks.
