A little distance away is the equally old Turku Cathedral. This earlier Catholic Cathedral is now the Mother Church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The sound of its bells chiming at noon is broadcast on national radio and can be heard throughout Turku! It has three grand church organs which are still in operation.
