We decided to drive down from Mumbai to Udaipur and it took us about 16 hours with a couple of breaks. The road trip was nice. There a re a few ‘Hotel Decent’ over the highway that offers delicious food.

The resort’s is on the highway and easy to reach. It is a bit far from the city. You will be better off to have your own vehicle. The resort has a beautiful traditional look but also modern amenities. We reached and the staff came to let us know about the wonderful evening puppet show.

The resort organizes traditional Rajasthani dance and music performances around the bonfire and there is no better place to be on a nice cold winter evening when you are enjoying the choiciest of food with your family. Udaipur has many places for sightseeing.

You can go by the lake Pichola where you an do a local dress up and take photos. You can go to the city palace, saheliyon ki bari, Fatehsagar leak, Maharana Pratp, Chetak Smarak, Karni mata temple, the museum of vintage cars and more Don’t forget to try parathas from Sai Paraths and sweets from JMB, especially the Ghevar. Most markets are overpriced but you can shop for souvenirs. Some of the shops offer good daris and clothes.
