The construction of the Fort dates back to 525 A.D. Gwalior Fort has been ruled over by several leaders in the past. Under the reign of Rajput Tomar dynasty, the Fort gained prominence. With a theatrical entrance and many historic monuments as well as temples within, it is an enriching experience to visit the Fort.
This palace was built by the Henry Irwin, a British architect, between 1887 and 1912. The marble domes are a predominant feature of the palace. An amalgamation of Rajput, Hindu, Muslim, and Gothic influences, the palace is lit up with 100, 000 bulbs on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.
The fort was built in the year 1156 by the Rajput ruler Rawal Jaisal, after whom Jaisalmer is named. It is the only fort in the country stands tall in sandstone and has nearly 4000 residents staying inside it. There are around 40 restaurants and hotels, 200 shops, havelis, and many temples inside the Fort.
Situated in North Goa, these caves are also popular as Pandava caves and are named after the characters of ‘Pandavas’ in the Mahabharata. There have been many theories revolving around the history of the caves, one of them states that the Pandava brothers stayed in these caves during their exile from the kingdom.
