Although Mohali is a bustling town and is developing rapidly, it does not have its own airport yet. So, if you are wondering how to go to Mohali by flight, let us tell you that it is quite easy. You can take a flight from your hometown to the nearest airport to Mohali, i.e., the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh.
It is one of the major airports in Punjab and is well-connected to all parts of India. Every day, several flights from all over the country come and leave Chandigarh. So, if you are travelling from within India, you may easily find a direct flight from your hometown to Chandigarh.
Although Chandigarh Airport is an international airport, it is connected to only two overseas cities. So, if you are travelling from abroad, it is best advised to travel to the major city closest to Chandigarh, i.e., Delhi, and then take a connecting flight to Chandigarh.
Once you reach Chandigarh airport, you can easily reach your Mohali destination as it is only about 9 km from the city centre. From here, you can take a cab or hire a private taxi and reach Mohali within 30-40 minutes.

Mohali has a railway station called Sas Nagar Mohali Station, connected to other cities. However, the Chandigarh railway is located just about 6 km from Mohali.
So, you can easily travel to Mohali by train from Chandigarh. It is well-connected to all major cities in India, like Shimla, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, etc., by train. You can book a train from your hometown to Chandigarh, and even if you don't find any direct train, you can reach any of the closest major cities and then take a connecting train.
Travelling to Mohali by train is an excellent choice of transport. The train fares are quite comfortable, and you can be assured that the journey is peaceful and comfortable. Depending on your budget and comfort needs, you can book a ticket in the non-AC sleeper or AC sleeper class.
Once you reach Chandigarh, you can take an auto or bus from outside the station and reach your final destination, Mohali, within 30 minutes.
