Nagarjuna Sagar

Distance from Hyderabad - Approx. 155 km
The second-largest water reservoir in India, Nagarjuna Sagar is one of the best weekend getaways near Hyderabad. Tourists can indulge in boating and fishing in the dam, especially during the sunset. The surrounding area of the dam also has many sightseeing options to offer. There are old Buddhist excavation sites that you can explore.
There are also many picturesque waterfalls in the vicinity of the dam that you can visit. The Ethiopia Waterfalls, located 15 km from the dam is a beautiful spot for a picnic with your loved ones. The waterfall cascades from a 70-feet height and the sound of the water will relax you. If you’re a nature and wildlife lover, you can visit the Nagarjuna Wildlife Sanctuary that houses rare plants, birds, and animal species.
Sri Yaganti Temple

Distance from Hyderabad - Approx. 290 km
The Sri Yaganti Swami temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his vehicle, the Nandi bull. One of the most interesting parts of the temple is the Nandi statue. It expands in size as confirmed by Archaeological Survey of India officials.
Apparently, the idol has silica. “When a mineral is converted to other granules of Silica”, it expands, confirmed the official. The temple also Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati idols fused into one and sculpted on a single rock. The temple premises also has a small water reservoir which is considered holy.
Mahashivratri is celebrated here with great zeal when many devotees flock to the temple to pay their respect to Lord Shiva.
Warangal

Distance from Hyderabad – Approx. 147 km
Once under the rule of the Kakatiya dynasty, Warangal has many monuments which display the magnificence of the craftsmen and artisans of that era. Many tourists for the four gates of the Warangal Fort, which are Telangana’s state official emblem. The thousand emblem temple is another tourist attraction in Warangal which is popular.
The temple has a thousand pillars set so close to each other to form an illusion of them being a wall. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Lord Surya. The Pakhal Lake, located approx. 44 km from Warangal is a scenic spot to watch the sunset and for some nature photography.
Adilabad

Distance from Hyderabad - Approx. 300 km
Adilabad has many beautiful spots which tourists can explore, making it one of the best weekend getaways from Hyderabad. The picturesque Mavala Lake is located on the outskirts of Adilabad and has a lovely garden nearby. The Kuntala Waterfalls in Adilabad is one of the most pristine and gorgeous waterfalls in the entire vicinity. The water cascades from 150 feet and is a marvelous sight to behold.
