The surrounding area of the dam also has many sightseeing options to offer. There are old Buddhist excavation sites that you can explore. 

There are also many picturesque waterfalls in the vicinity of the dam that you can visit. The Ethiopia Waterfalls, located 15 km from the dam is a beautiful spot for a picnic with your loved ones. Sri Yaganti Temple

The Sri Yaganti Swami temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his vehicle, the Nandi bull. One of the most interesting parts of the temple is the Nandi statue. It expands in size as confirmed by Archaeological Survey of India officials.

Warangal

Once under the rule of the Kakatiya dynasty, Warangal has many monuments which display the magnificence of the craftsmen and artisans of that era. Many tourists for the four gates of the Warangal Fort, which are Telangana’s state official emblem. The thousand emblem temple is another tourist attraction in Warangal which is popular. 

The temple has a thousand pillars set so close to each other to form an illusion of them being a wall. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Lord Surya. The Pakhal Lake, located approx. 44 km from Warangal is a scenic spot to watch the sunset and for some nature photography. 

Adilabad
