To reach Holiday Club Ruka, take a flight to Kuusamo Airport. Buses are available from there to Ruka. The nearest bus station is in Kuusamo as well.
If you want to witness the Northern Lights, the best time to visit is between September and April. If you want to see days when the ‘sun never sets’, your best bet is to travel between May and August. Summers here offer a wealth of entertainment – walking tours, fishing, tobogganing, rafting and mountain biking are some of the activities you can do here. In December, you can enjoy husky and reindeer safaris, snowmobiles, and visits to the reindeer farm.
