The Moorish Palace of Alhambra is an exquisite fortress, belonging to the Moorish monarchs of Granada, Spain. The outer walls of the grand structure were built with tapia, red earth. This is precisely where the inspiration for the name came from, for it is an Arabic translation of “the red”.
