How to Reach from Mumbai
Mumbai to Lonavala
By Road: The fastest and most convenient option. Take the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, a smooth 2-hour drive. Buses and private taxis also run frequently. Families often prefer driving for flexibility.
By Railway: Lonavala is well connected by trains from Mumbai CST, Dadar, and LTT. The journey takes about 2–2.5 hours.

By Road: Drive via NH66 which in general takes about 3 hours. The route is scenic, passing through coastal villages. Private cabs and buses are available.
By Ferry (Best Option): The quickest and most enjoyable route. Ferries leave from the Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty (~1 hr). From Mandwa, Alibaug town is a 30–40 min drive. Families often prefer ferries for the views and time saved.
By Railway: The nearest station is Pen (28 km away), but trains are limited. Road or ferry is far more convenient.
Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar
By Road: Drive via Mumbai–Pune Expressway and NH48 (~5 hrs). Families can stop at Lonavala or Panchgani en route. State transport and private luxury buses are also available.
