Dreaming of visiting Madame Tussauds, to see your favourite celebrities etched in wax? Lifelike and perfectly crafted. Extraordinary. Well, you need not travel too far to experience the fascinating world of wax art and waxwork! India is home to its very own wax museums, one of which is situated in Goa. With Club Mahindra resorts in Goa, you’ll have the chance to explore this medium and realise all your travel aspirations.

Wax World Museum lies in Old Goa, a historical district located on the southern banks of Mandovi River. It is one of the most interesting places to visit in Goa. Travellers can enter this curious establishment at a meagre fee of Rs. 30/- and Rs. 10/- for cameras. The Wax World Museum has over 30 life-size statues of famous celebrities and honours towering personalities from Indian culture, heritage and religion. Note, each figurine has been carefully and expertly sculpted with paraffin wax. The hair used is natural, while the eyes and teeth are artificial.

A guide will take you through the sculptures whilst regaling you with stories and facts. Make sure you check out the main attraction - a recreation of the “Last Supper”. It is 22 ft in length and weighs approximately 500 kg! There is also a little gift shop that sells a variety of scented and shaped candles. Do pick one as a souvenir from your visit! After all, shopping for knickknacks is one of the best things to do in Goa.

With Club Mahindra, you can witness many such magnificent experiences across 100+ resorts in India and abroad! To know more about the experience of visiting the Wax World Museum in Goa, read the Club Mahindra membership reviews and decide for yourself.
