The INS Khukri Memorial at Chakratirth Beach is dedicated to the seamen who lost their lives when their ship was torpedoed by a submarine, during the Indo-Pak War of 1971. The memorial houses a plaque bearing the names of the deceased sailors and a scale model of the ship.
