Mythology of Sabarimala:

According to Hindu mythology, Sabarimala is associated with Lord Ayyappa, believed to be the son of Lord Shiva and Mohini, the female incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple commemorates Ayyappa’s victory over the demoness Mahishi, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. It is also linked to Sabari, a devoted disciple of Lord Rama, who meditated in the forest where the temple is now located. These legends form the spiritual and cultural foundation of Sabarimala, attracting millions of devotees.
