The most convenient way to reach Namchi is to reach Bagdogra by flight and then drive down to Namchi, this will take you about two hours. Or, you could travel by train to New Jalpaiguri Station and then drive down to Namchi, this will take you about three and half hours.

A good time to visit Namchi is between March and June, when the temperatures are warmer, and you can indulge in a lot of outdoor sightseeing activities. However, if you love a hill station during winters, then visit between October and February, and you’ll see Namchi’s natural beauty in all its splendour. Just make sure you carry heavy woollens, since temperatures in December can fall as low as -15 degrees Celsius.
