Nestled at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range overlooking Dal Lake, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar spans around 30 ha—Asia’s largest tulip garden. Established in 2007 to boost floriculture and tourism, its seven terraced levels bloom each spring with over 1.5 million tulip bulbs in about 68–75 varieties, complemented by hyacinths, daffodils, ranunculus, and more. The annual Tulip Festival (late March–April) draws nature lovers, photographers, and families for scenic strolls, cultural performances, and vibrant floral displays. A brief yet magical experience not to be missed.
