In recent years, Dubai sitting smack-bang in the Middle East, has turned into a tourist haven. And the much-popularised Dubai shopping festival has certainly caught the imagination of the traveller. Dubai is a consumerist’s Mecca, but lovers of this Emirate insist it is not just about decadence. Dubai’s allure is more to do with polish and sophistication, a bit like a fairyland in the middle of acres of barren desert landscape. It has some of the world’s best hotels such as the iconic Burj Al Arab, the most amazing entertainment, amazing shopping, man-made islands, the world’s tallest towers, underwater delights and is the joy of those who revel in urban chic. Exciting, modern and pulsating with an insatiable energy, Dubai is undoubtedly a dream destination.
With its spectacular skylines, in-your-face architecture and a crazy obsession with high end fashion, Dubai is one destination that is on most traveller’s lists! What with the beach right around the corner, the world’s biggest malls and adrenaline pumping activities like sky diving from the top of the Palm, Dubai is a fast paced, buzzing destination to experience?
1. Pier 7
It would be a real shame to miss out on this one! Pier 7 is Dubai’s premier lifestyle dining destination and houses 7 floors with Arabic and Asian restaurants on each floor overlooking a splendid view of Dubai Marina. A luxurious space to unwind with a couple of drinks and a choice of menus from which you can take a pick! At a distance of 25 minutes from the Arabian Dreams resort in Dubai, this is a place that you should pick for a dinner with your spouse for a special night out and about town.
2. DIFC
A financial hub? Did we get it right? Yes! If you want the ultimate pick in fine dine, this is where you head. Amidst the buzzing financial district are a horde of restaurants and cafes which will play with your mood and set the tone for the next few days. Offering a truly delectable array of choices with its cafes and restaurants, the Dubai International Financial Centre is the place to be for the exotic wine and dine experience. A big advantage of staying at Club Mahindra Arabian Dreams resort is the location which is at the heart of the city and will take you only 15 minutes to reach DIFC. You can always head out and sit at a café near by or simply choose a restaurant from one of the many and dine out with your family. The proximity makes it extremely convenient and very easy to reach back and head for a swim.
3. The Best Nightclub - White Dubai
Located at the Meydan Racecourse Grandstand Rooftop, ‘White’ (all the way from Lebanon) is Dubai’s most happening and incredibly chic nightclub. An energetic dance floor with thumping music, a white décor with visual and laser effects that completely change the vibe and turn your night into an epic memorable one; it can turn out to be quite heavy on the pocket but if you are in Dubai, this club cannot be missed. At a distance of 17 minutes on a average from the resort, this is a quick journey to the club.
4. Lounging on the Beach
Starting with the ‘Jumeirah Beach Lounge’ which is a classic spot for your quintessential sundowners, the lounge houses a beach bar facing the Burj Al Arab. Open from 5pm to late in the night, the intimate seating areas perfectly complement the soothing waves that beckon you to take a walk along the shore as you sip on your chilled margaritas and soak in the atmosphere. At a quick commute of just 20 minutes, this is a place that you can reach in the evening without much hassle. Spend a quiet and relaxing day at the Club Mahindra Arabian Dreams resort; indulge yourself in the spa, try the delicious shawarmas and falafels and fill your stomach to the brim. Take a nap and then head out for a nice walk along the Jumeirah beach.
5. Bar Hopping
From Ibiza comes another bar called ‘Blue Marlin Ibiza’ which offers the ultimate party experience from Spain’s most infamous clubbing scenario. Although, when it comes to insane party spots, the Nikki beach Club stands out as one of the most well-known clubs imported all the way from Marbella Spain. The beach beds and cabanas near the massive pool make the décor stylish and resplendent. You can replenish your drinks constantly with the waiters hovering around and be well assured to be taken care of. While this place can take a while to reach as compared to the rest of the places we mentioned, it is totally worth the visit. You can always book a cab in advance or ask our staff to make arrangements for the same and your commute will be handled by us gracefully.
