How to Reach Munnar by Train?

Munnar doesn't have any railway connectivity. Those willing to travel by train can access the nearest railway station from Munnar, which is in Aluva. With a distance of 110 kilometres from the nearest railway station travellers can take a cab and embark on an exhilarating journey through the lush greenery of Kerala's landscapes, venturing towards the magical allure of Munnar. The scenic drive to Munnar is an experience in itself, offering glimpses of Kerala's verdant beauty, punctuated by cascading waterfalls, winding roads, and tea plantations stretching as far as the eye can see.

How to Reach Munnar by Road?

It must be clear by now that you’ll have to hit the roads at some point to reach Munnar, regardless of the type of transportation you choose. However, you don’t need to worry as Munnar is well connected with different parts of Kerala through an excellent road network. 

Almost all the major cities in Kerala has regular bus services to Munnar. However, most travellers prefer hiring a car and driving to Munnar. The road to Munnar is filled with beautiful scenery. So, you may like the trip as much as Munnar. 

The easiest way to reach Munnar by road is to drive down from Cochin, which is about 126 kilometres taking about 4 hours of drive.
