Travel plans may have been shelved during the last few months but it’s time to take them down, dust off the cobwebs and start working on them again. For some, time, life seemed to have come to a standstill while many watched days go by in a blur. However, with life coming back to normalcy, it’s time to give our outdoor hopes and dreams a definite shape. The (new) normal brings with it a whole bag of new opportunities and second chances. As life gets back on its feet, it’s time to indulge in activities and go to places that we have wished to explore before Covid-19 plagued us.
Apart from evening walks or washing their car on a Sunday morning, another thing that people missed is travelling. Being at home all day has made individuals reflect on their perspective to life and to ponder about lost opportunities. For many, it has been to plan to tick things off their bucket list. Whether it was to embark on your first ever solo trip, rekindle the romance with your partner on a weekend getaway or bond together as a family during a staycation. As the world slowly starts functioning, let’s bring those travel plans to the forefront.
During the first few days of the lockdown, we have had to manage things that we never did before. Domestic chores, laundry, cooking etc. (in truth, it’s quite an epiphany with growing respect and admiration for those who helped do it previously). It has taken up so much time and effort during the last 100 days, that you now have earned the right to take a break.
Albeit, this is to be done with utmost care and safety. It is time to put on your mask, face shields, pack your sanitizer and head out to an uncrowded quiet place for a long weekend.
Now, we are all for helping those travel plans become a reality. We want you to experience that joy and excitement of travelling once again. In the spirit of re-living memories, Ayushmann Khurrana, actor, singer, television host and habitual writer, has penned down his thoughts around significant attractions in India. We are, afterall, a country of great history, natural beauty and abundant culture. In the poem, Ayushmann calls out all the scenic wonders in India with a promise to visit them again.
