Oreo and Paneer Modak Recipe
Enjoy the feast with several delicious delicacies and mouth-watering oreo paneer modaks with your family. Follow these simple steps to make some delicious modaks and treat your family.
Ingredients:
Condensed milk 150 ml
Paneer 200 gms
Oreo biscuits 200 gms
Butter 25 gms
Cardamom Powder 20 gms
Preparation Method:
Remove the creamy portion of the Oreo Biscuits in a mixing bowl, take all the biscuits and grind the biscuits to a fine powder in a mixer grinder. Take it out in a bowl.
Grate the paneer with a grater and grind it in a mixer grinder until it turns into a fine paste.
Add the powdered biscuits and their cream to the paneer. Knead the mixture well.
Add butter, condensed milk, and Cardamom Powder into a hot kadai on medium-low heat and slowly stir until the mixture starts to bubble.
Add the Paneer and Biscuit mixture to it and slowly mix it well with a spatula. Once the mixture becomes thick, switch off the heat.
Let the mixture cool a little.
Grease the Modak mold with little butter and take a small portion of the mixture at a time in your palm and roll it.
Press the mixture in the mold and shape it. Remove the Excess mixture.
Now slowly remove the Modak and place it on a buttered plate. Your modaks are ready!Â
Chocolate Modak Recipe:
This is a modern take on the traditional modak recipes and is loved by both adults and children. These chocolate modaks are sure to be a hit amongst children on Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ingredients:
Condensed milk
Regular milk
Chocolate chips
Digestive biscuits
Nuts of your choice.
Preparation Method:
Mix condensed milk with regular milk and bring it to a boil.
Add chocolate chips and stir them in to melt.Â
Put the mixture on a flame and let it boil until it thickens.Â
Add some powdered digestive biscuits to it and some chopped nuts to make them crunchy.Â
Shape them like modaks and allow them to set. Serve chilled.Â
Malai Modak Recipe
 Prepared from paneer, these modaks are very rich in taste and flavourful. Follow these simple steps to make some delicious modaks and treat your family.
Ingredients:
Paneer (cottage cheese)
Condensed Milk
Saffron
Preparation Method:
Crush soft cottage cheese of paneer and put it in a pan.
Turn the flame on, add condensed milk to the paneer and keep stirring until the paneer gets mashed properly.
Flavour the mixture with saffron and then turn the flame off.
Let the mixture cool and then add it to the modak mould to shape it.
 Cream Cheese Rose Modak
The Cream Cheese Rose Modak takes festivity to altogether a different level. Follow these simple steps to make some delicious modaks and treat your family.
 Ingredients:
2 cups ricotta cheeseÂ
1 cup sweetened condensed milk ½ cupÂ
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp peppermint essence
Modak moulds
 Preparation Method:
Heat a heavy-bottomed pan.
Add the ricotta cheese and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring constantly.
As the ricotta cheese starts to thicken, add the condensed milk to the pan.
Cook the mixture for an additional 4-5 minutes stirring constantly.
Add the chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and peppermint essence and immediately turn off the heat.
Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are mixed evenly and the chocolate chips have melted.
Set aside and allow it to cool till the mixture can be touch.
Once cooled, stuff the mixture into the Modak moulds and refrigerate for some time till the moulds are set. (2-4 hours).
Once set, remove from moulds and serve.Â
Gulkand Modak Recipe
This simple modak recipe give you a refreshing flavour for modaks. Follow these simple steps to make some delicious modaks and treat your family.
Ingredients:
300 gm desiccated coconutÂ
10 ml condensed milkÂ
Few drops of rose essence
Green colour - optional
100 gm gulkand (Rose petal jam)
1 tsp cardamom powder
25gm almond powderÂ
Preparation Method:
Mix desiccated coconut with condensed milk, rose essence and colour, knead well and form into a dough.
Prepare gulkand mixture by combining almond powder, cardamom powder.
Stuff the gulkand mixture in the coconut dough and form modak into moulds.
Can be refrigerated and served chilled.
Dips- rose syrup, chocolate sauce, saffron syrup, strawberry.Â
