The colourful state of Rajasthan has always been a major tourist attraction. Travellers from across the world come here to marvel at the magnificent sights the state has to offer. Two of the most popular destinations in Rajasthan are the cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur.
Jal Mahal, Amer Fort, and Hawa Mahal are some of the historical monuments that Jaipur has to offer, while Jodhpur boasts of Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh Fort, among others. Both cities weave and narrate some beautiful stories of the state’s rich culture and history, and you shouldn’t miss either of them on your tour of Rajasthan.
Tourists generally visit both cities to make the most of their Rajasthan vacation. As Jaipur has an international airport and is better connected to other Indian cities, travellers visit it first before heading to Jodhpur. Famously known as the Gateway to the Thar, Jodhpur lies at a distance of about 340 km from Jaipur.
