We had been wanting to take a holiday to the Far East for quite some time. We finally settled on Malaysia as it is one of the less explored countries. We booked a 5-day holiday in the PARKROYAL Serviced Suites, one of the most luxurious resorts in Kuala Lumpur, through our Club Mahindra membership. We’d heard a lot about Malaysia. We were so excited that we were already looking for beautiful places to visit in Kuala Lumpur and fun things to do in Kuala Lumpur.

We already had a list of must-visit restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, and our Kuala Lumpur trip itinerary was ready. We were going at the right time as winter is supposed to be the best time to visit in Kuala Lumpur. Everything was set!

Our Resort

The PARKROYAL is located in the heart of the city. It made sightseeing easy for us. Wherever we went in the city, we were never far from our resort. Our suite was well-equipped and spacious. It even had a small kitchen! We loved the swimming pool and enjoyed it almost every day. The front desk staff helped us find a lot of exciting things to do in Kuala Lumpur. One of the best parts of the resort was the in-room dining service. We used it twice when we were too tired to go out.

Our five-day itinerary in Kuala Lumpur

It was finally time to begin our Kuala Lumpur holidays. Day one was reserved for Putrajaya Botanical Gardens and Chinatown. In the evening, we visited the Petronas Towers, one of the essential things to do in Kuala Lumpur.

The next morning, we returned to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre to enjoy Aquaria KLCC which has an amazing variety of sea life on display. The Petrosian’s Discovery Centre is an interesting exhibit dedicated to the field of petroleum science. We explored the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre and enjoyed window shopping. We spent the evening in enjoying the delights at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park.

On day three we decided to visit the Batu Caves, one of the must-do things to do in Kuala Lumpur. The 400-million-years-old limestone caves and the 100-year-old temple complex left us awestruck. On the way back we also visited Little India. The evening we spent at Bukit Bintang and enjoyed some delicious street food.

Day four was full of adventure as we visited Skytrex Adventure and enjoyed the thrill of ziplining. The iCity Theme Park is a wonderland of technology. It left us spellbound. We visited Jalan Alor in the evening to enjoy more street food. It has some of the best street food restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.

On our final day in the city, we decided to take it easy as we had an afternoon flight. Throughout our holiday, we used the city’s excellent railway system to get around. It is convenient and affordable. We had seen so much, but there is so much more to see. We’re definitely going back next year.
