Spread over a seven square kilometre area, it is home to more than 150 species of birds and mammals such as jackals, blue bulls, blackbucks and more.Â
The best time to visit the sanctuary is during the winters, between November and January when the entire area turns pink as thousands of pink flamingos from Serbia gather there. It is also the perfect time to watch other migratory birds like sarus cranes, pelicans, geese and more.Â
