Badrinath Dham, Kedarnath Dham, Gangotri Dham, and Yamunotri Dham – are all set to open doors for pilgrims, marking the beginning of Uttarakhand's Char Dham Yatra.

The sacred journey to the revered shrines of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath holds immense significance in Hinduism, drawing millions of pilgrims from across the globe every year. The much-awaited pilgrimage of Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand has stirred excitement among devotees and travelers alike as the dates for 2024 have been officially announced.
The doors of Kedarnath are scheduled to open on May 10, 2024 and of Badrinath will open on May 12, 2024, infusing the region with spiritual fervor and religious fervency. The dates for the door openings of Gangotri and Yamunotri are yet to be announced. The pilgrimage, which typically spans several months, offers devotees the opportunity to seek blessings and cleanse their souls amidst the serene Himalayan landscapes.
Preparations for the yatra are in full swing, with authorities focusing on ensuring the safety and convenience of pilgrims throughout the journey. Registration for the Char Dham Yatra 2024 has commenced, with pilgrims encouraged to book their slots in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles.Â
The registration process can be completed online through the official portal established by the Uttarakhand government for Char Dham Yatra. Devotees can register online through the official website www.registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in or via WhatsApp at 8394833833 by typing 'yatra' or calling the toll-free number 01351364.
To facilitate a smooth pilgrimage experience, the authorities have also launched various assistance programs, including medical aid stations, emergency response teams, and accommodation facilities along the yatra route. Additionally, transportation services will be made available to pilgrims, ensuring seamless connectivity between the sacred sites.
