5 Offbeat Adventurous Activities in Corbett National Park with Kids The Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand is a world of wildlife wonders with the tiger being at its center. It is located close to New Delhi and makes for a great weekend getaway. For families who love a dose of adventure and a rush of adrenaline, the national park boasts many outdoor activities for all ages. Here are some of the adventurous things to do in Corbett with kids:

The terrain of the Garhwal Himalayan region offers amazing opportunities for river rafting. Make a splash with your kids while you get enthralled by the strong currents of River Kosi. Clean beaches, convergences of rivers, rock-studded rapids, and fascinating ravines add to the excitement. There are expert guides and modern equipment here to ensure you have a safe and fun time.

The Corbett National Park is a thriving ecosystem with various plants, animals, and insects. Some sections of the forest are designated for nature trek activities, which differ in their levels of difficulty. Skilled naturalists who offer a wealth of knowledge conduct these and you can embark on them with your kids at your own pace, stopping whenever you stumble upon one of nature’s glorious wonders.

A safari in the Corbett tiger reserve is a must-do. This is sure to enthrall your kids. Elephant safaris are organized in the Bijrani and Dhikala zones between 6-8 AM and 3-5 PM. Canter safaris are organized in Dhikala zone between 5:30 AM-6 PM in summers and 6:30 AM-4:30 PM in winters. Jeep safaris are conducted in Bijrani, Jhirna, Durgadevi, and Dhikala zones between 6-9 AM and 3-6 PM in summers and 7-10 AM and 2-5 PM in winters.
This adrenaline-filled activity involves crossing a river while being tied to a rope. It’s a great activity to do with family as it involves a lot of teamwork and is done on the Kosi and Ramganga rivers.

Autumn and summers are best for this activity when the Himalayas offer ample pebbly rock surfaces to climb. There are various clubs that engage in rock climbing; so you and your kids are in safe hands of well-trained experts.
