1. Corbett Jungle Safari
Tourists who want to enjoy the wildlife in all its splendour shouldn’t miss the famous Corbett Safari. Open jeeps take you deep into the forest where wildlife can be easily spotted. With some luck you can even see tigers, bears, elephants, jackals, and wild boars in their natural habitat. What’s more, there are five safari zones spread across the park – Dhikala, Dhela, Durgadevi, Jhirna, and Bijrani – and a Corbett Safari for each zone is conducted separately.

2. Corbett Waterfall
In the dense forests of Corbett is a waterfall offering a serene view to tourists. It is 66 feet high and is a magnificent sight, especially on moonlit nights, attracting campers and tourists looking for a momentary respite from adventure activities in Corbett.

One of the best adventure activities in Corbett during the monsoon season is river rafting, organised on the Kosi River bordering the forest. 4. Elephant Rides In Corbett
Denser regions of the park that lack motorable roads for jeeps can be accessed on an elephant. These gentle creatures take you deep inside the forest, allowing you to take a close look at the wildlife within. Each elephant is commandeered by an experienced mahout, and can carry up to four adults and two children. It is one of the best thing to do in Corbett for kids.

5. Corbett Museum
Kaladhungi, the bungalow previously owned by Jim Corbett, has been transformed into the Corbett Museum. It houses Jim Corbett’s memoirs, personal belongings, and correspondence. It also displays antiquities, hunting trophies, and guns collected by Corbett and other donors. It is a must-visit for tourists interested in the life and times of Jim Corbett.

6. Garija Temple in Corbett
Located atop a hill and near the Kosi River, Garija Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. To reach the inner sanctum, which also houses idols of Bhairon, Shiva, Ganesh, and Saraswati, tourists have to climb a steep flight of stairs from the bottom of the hill. The temple is famous for the grand fair conducted on its premises during Karthik Poornima.

7. Dhikala in Corbett In Corbett
The Dhikala Chaur of Corbett Park remains India’s largest grassland and houses the famous Dhikala Lodge, established by the British more than a hundred years ago. This historic structure, reminiscent of colonial architecture, offers a panoramic view of the valley. Wild animals often wander close to it. It is the primary attraction of the region and many safaris halt there. Tourists can choose to stay at the lodge by booking in advance and getting a permit from the park authorities.

8. Jhirna In Corbett
Jhirna is located in the greener, southern belt of the park and is a farming village-turned-resort. Tourists come here to enjoy the authentic lifestyle of the tribesmen that call the forest their home. Staying at Jhirna is permitted from November 15 to June 15. It remains closed for the rest of the year.

9. Birjani In Corbett
With open terrain and diverse vegetation, Birjani served as a popular spot for shikaar (hunt) during the colonial period. Regular safaris are conducted here and tourists are regaled with tales of hunting as they enjoy the sight of machaans and traps set by hunters of yore.

10. Fishing/angling In Corbett
With multiple tributaries of the Ramganga River running through the forest, the water bodies in the park are host to 43 species of fish. Rare fish include Indian Trout, Golden Mahseer, Goonch, and Kalabasu. During the months of June and October, tourists are permitted to take part in leisurely fishing activity in locations such as Betalghat and Chhara.
