Alibaug trip for 2 days? Absolutely!
Most Mumbaikars visit Alibaug to escape from the hustle-bustle of city life. After a long week at work, an Alibaug weekend getaway is one of the best things you can do. There are many beautiful beaches, forts, temples, and restaurants to visit in and around Alibaug.Â
A 2-day trip to Alibaug is enough to explore the beaches and other sightseeing spots here. So, if you are planning a weekend getaway from Mumbai, here is a 2-day itinerary for Alibaug weekend getaway.

The first part of your 2-day Alibaug trip is to get there. You can take a ferry from the Gateway of India in Mumbai to reach Alibaug. You will first reach Mandwa jetty. From Mandwa, you can either take a bus to Alibaug or can arrange a cab ride. If you have your own car, you can drive down to Alibaug. It’s a pleasant and scenic 2–3-hour drive.Â
Aim to reach by 11 AM and check into your resort so that you can spend the rest of the day exploring Alibaug.
When in Alibaug, plan your stay at Tropicana Resort and Spa, Alibaug–a Club Mahindra affiliate resort. Located off the coast of Kihim Beach, this resort in Alibaug is perfect for a laid-back and relaxing vacation with your family.Â
You don’t want to waste time on your Alibaug 2-day trip. So, check in, get ready, and head to the closest beach. Kihim Baeach is 10 minutes away from the resort. You can drive there and start your Alibaug weekend getaway!

You can start off your Alibaug weekend getaway with a visit to Kihim beach. You can take a dip in the water and have a fun time with your family. After a nice swim, you can head to one of the beach restaurants for a hearty lunch. If you like seafood, you’re in for a treat! The seafood thalis in Alibaug are definitely worth a shot.

After a hearty lunch, you can head to Kashid beach. This is one of the lesser-known beaches in Alibaug. You can take a dip in the water or sit on the sand and enjoy the sound of the waves. There are horse-drawn carriages and camel rides available for tourists. You can also indulge in water sports at the beach. Make the most of your 2-day Alibaug trip.

Even though your Alibaug trip is for 2 days, you can still explore the Revdanda fort and beach. The Portuguese fort has a periphery of around 5km and is a great spot to take pictures. During high tide, the view from the fort is simply magnificent! Revdanda beach is close to the fort. It’s a secluded beach where you can spend some time for some peace and quiet. The black sand on this beach gives it a unique look. You can watch the sunset from this beach and head back to your resort to relax.
The resort has a spa where you can get a massage to wash away the tiredness of the day. You can head out for dinner at night or stay in the resort and enjoy the delicious food served there.
On the 2nd day of your Alibaug 2-day trip, start the day early so that you can visit as many sightseeing spots as possible before leaving Alibaug.

Start the day early and head to the Kolaba Fort. Located 1.5 km from Alibaug beach, you can take a tour of this fort and enjoy the view of the ocean from the fort itself! It’s a great spot to click some pictures with your family.

After a tour of the fort, you can head to Alibaug beach and relax there for a bit. Being one of the most popular beaches in Alibaug, you will find many vendors and beach shacks. You can get some refreshments and relax by the beach.
You can check out from your resort and start your journey back to Mandwa jetty. Do enquire about the ferry timings so that you get there on time. Planning ahead is important as you are on an Alibaug trip for 2 days only. There are no ferry rides later in the day, so you will have to leave a little early. If you’re driving, you can spend a few more hours in Alibaug and explore a few more places before leaving for Mumbai.Â
If time permits, you could visit Murud-Janjira Fort. This island fort is a popular tourist spot around Alibaug. The top of the fort offers a beautiful view of the Arabian sea that you cannot miss.
Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? There are a lot of places you can cover on this 2-day trip to Alibaug. All you have to do is fix a date and get going!
Remember, since it is a 2-day Alibaug trip, plan properly to make the most of it.
