The best part of the year is here. The holidays, where everyone kicks back and enjoys time with friends and family. Well, this year, more than any other, a break has been well deserved. Life has been unusually different this calendar year, however, normalcy is right there on the horizon.

Slow and steady the world is getting back to normal. With the world getting vaccinated, there are a bunch of people who are learning to live with Covid-19. With life resuming to the ‘old normal’, people have begun traveling, for both, work and pleasure.

It is common knowledge that governments across the world are slowly, but steadily reopening their borders to leisure travelers. They are doing so keeping in mind testing measures and other socially required protocols in order to limit the risks of COVID-19. If you are planning to travel, then you need a new digital health pass called the CommonPass. This is your ticket to o hassle-free holiday travel with friends and family.

Based on reports, five leading airlines have introduced the digital health passports, called CommonPass. This has been done to ensure that passengers who have tested negative for COVID-19 can travel hassle-free and can skip the stipulated requirement of quarantining themselves. This helps quicken the travel time as well as helps build confidence and trust amongst fellow travelers.

The five airlines that have started this CommonPass are JetBlue, Swiss International Airlines, Lufthansa, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.

How does this CommonPass work and help those looking to travel internationally?

Once you apply for this, the CommonPass saves the test results of the user on their mobile phones. It also sends them notifications and information regarding health screening that are mandatorily required by the country that they are travelling to. Also, users can access their lab and test results while learning about the vaccination records on the CommonPass mobile app.

The idea behind the whole thing was to standardize the format of the test results so that travel officials can help quicken the process for those who are Covid-19 free. Furthermore, it will enable destinations to set specific health screening requirements, and have them communicated to passengers beforehand.

The idea was to help countries open out their borders to travelers which will help the industry and local economies after a year of business related turmoil.
