We’ve all been sitting indoors for most of the part of 2020. The year has been difficult for everyone given the loss of jobs, reduced incomes etc. Multiple industries including the travel industry took a huge hit.
However, things look brighter than before.
Thailand has finally opened its doors for tourists from India. Here is everything that you need to know about the Covid-19 travel rules and regulations if you plan to travel to Thailand. Also, do read how you can apply for a tourist visa and visit Thailand for a much-needed break.
The Special Tourist Visa, is a tourist scheme where travelers are allowed to stay up to 90 days. However, they need to come from low-risk countries like China, Vietnam and Australia. This particular type of visa can be extended twice.
Â
Thailand has now opened its borders for people from all countries. You can visit the country and stay there for up to 60 days. However, upon arrival you will need to quarantine yourself for 14 days at an authorized quarantine facility.
It is important to note that people travelling to Thailand are required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of arrival. Travelers will have to undergo a second test once they land. Precaution is better than cure for all of us. In case, a traveler tests positive upon landing, they will have to undergo quarantine for 14 days. Also note, travelers have to submit evidence of travel and medical insurance in case of quarantine.
