The Indian Railways unveils a special Ramayana Yatra train for those seeking a spiritual expedition across the nation.

In a bid to promote religious tourism and foster cultural understanding, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special Ramayana Yatra train. This pilgrimage journey of 17 nights and 18 days promises to take devotees on an enriching spiritual voyage through 14 cities, encompassing 39 revered sites associated with the epic Ramayana, including the sacred city of Ayodhya. As per reports, the train journey is scheduled to commence on June 7. 

Setting off from Delhi, the train will traverse through a diverse array of landscapes, stopping at key destinations such as Ayodhya, Buxar, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Hampi, Nasik, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam, and Kanchipuram. Ensuring convenience for travelers, the train will offer multiple boarding and alighting options at Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Gwalior, Mathura, Agra Cantt, and Safadarjung, along its route.  

The Ramayana Yatra luxurious AC Deluxe train comprises several coach types including AC First Coupe, AC First, Second, and Third Class, offering visitors options to choose from. Equipped with modern amenities and comfortable accommodations, the train ensures a hassle-free journey for pilgrims. Expert guides onboard will provide insights into the significance of each site, enriching the spiritual experience for travelers.

This initiative by IRCTC underscores the government's commitment to promoting religious tourism and preserving India's cultural heritage. By offering pilgrims a convenient and organized means to undertake this sacred journey, the Ramayana Yatra train seeks to deepen the connection between devotees and their spiritual roots.
