Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) in a bid to encourage tourism and promote economic collaborations, has introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for Indian tourists.

In a significant move to foster stronger ties with India and boost tourism, Dubai has announced the introduction of a 5-year multiple-entry visa exclusively for Indian tourists. The visa issued within two to five working days, allows a 90-day stay, extendable once for a similar period, with a total stay not exceeding 180 days in a year.

This new visa scheme enables tourists multiple entries and exits simplifying travel procedures poised to make Dubai an even more appealing destination for Indian visitors.

As per the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Dubai has witnessed a surge in Indian tourists with 2.46 million visitors being welcomed overnight in 2023. This throws light upon the substantial increase from 1.84 million tourists in 2022, surpassing the pre-pandemic figure of 1.97 million visitors in 2019.

With a remarkable 34 % year-on-year growth, India continues to be the leading source for the Dubai Market.  The 5-year multiple-entry visa initiative is expected to not only facilitate seamless travel but also enhance economic cooperation by encouraging increased business engagements and investments between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India.

Indian tourists, who have long been enamored by Dubai's iconic skyline, luxurious shopping experiences, and cultural attractions, will now have the added convenience of easier access. The extended validity of the visa allows travelers to explore Dubai's vibrant offerings at their own pace, fostering a deeper connection with the city's diverse landscapes, entertainment options, and world-class hospitality.

Furthermore, the move aligns with Dubai's commitment to creating a welcoming environment for international visitors, emphasizing inclusivity and accessibility. By streamlining visa processes, Dubai aims to position itself as a preferred destination not only for leisure travelers but also for business professionals seeking opportunities in the dynamic economic landscape of the Emirate.

This strategic initiative reflects the visionary approach of both the UAE and India in strengthening bilateral relations, promoting cultural exchange, and driving economic growth. As the 5-year multiple entry visa comes into effect, it is anticipated to usher in a new era of collaboration, enhancing the flourishing tourism and business partnership between Dubai and India. Travelers can look forward to a more seamless and extended experience in the Emirate, while businesses anticipate increased opportunities for expansion and collaboration across borders.
