In a historic breakthrough, the first-ever mountain flight to Kailash Mansarovar commenced from Nepalgunj, opening up a new and convenient route for pilgrims and adventure enthusiasts.  

The inaugural Kailash Mansarovar Darshan Flight, the first mountain flight took off from Nepalgunj with 38 Indian pilgrims on board on 29th January. Operated by Nepal’s Shree Airlines in coordination with Siddartha Hospitality Group, Temple Trip Group, Pathil Holidays, the flight to Kailash Mansarovar lasted approximately one and a half hours.

Departing from Nepalgunj Airport, the flight soared to an elevation of 27,000 ft., offering breathtaking aerial views of the majestic Himalayan ranges. This new air route not only provides a faster and more accessible means for travelers but also promises a scenic journey, offering passengers a unique perspective of the awe-inspiring landscapes that surround the sacred site.

The decision to initiate mountain flights from Nepalgunj is a strategic move to facilitate smoother access to Kailash Mansarovar, reducing the travel time for pilgrims who previously had to rely on arduous overland journeys.
