Gulmarg experiences extreme snowfall accumulating 40 cm (nearly 16 inches) with the temperature dropping to minus 2.8°C, 4.0°C above the usual. 

Gulmarg, the crown jewel of Kashmir's winter tourism, has transformed into a mesmerizing winter wonderland as it receives a substantial 16 inches of fresh snowfall. This picturesque destination, already renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and world-class skiing facilities, now dons a pristine white cloak, enchanting visitors with its serene beauty.

The snowfall, a gift from nature, has turned Gulmarg into a postcard-perfect scene, captivating locals and tourists alike. On the other hand, Pahalgam, a renowned resort in south Kashmir, recorded 18.6mm of rainfall, with temperatures dropping to 0.8°C, 5.2°C higher than usual. Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, saw 8.0 mm of rain, with temperatures reaching a minimum of 3.5°C, which was 4.4°C above normal. In Kupwara town, 42.7 mm of rain was recorded, with temperatures dropping to a low of minus 0.1°C, 2.0°C above normal.
