Brahmaputra Carnival 2025 is underway in Guwahati, Assam, offering a vibrant blend of cultural festivities, adventure sports, and much more.
The much-anticipated Brahmaputra Carnival 2025 is in full swing in Guwahati, offering a vibrant mix of culture, adventure, and luxury. Organized by the Assam Tourism Department, the three-month-long extravaganza which began on December 15, 2024, will last until March 15, 2025, along the scenic Lachit Ghat on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.
A celebration of culture, the Brahmaputra Carnival is a spectacular showcase of Assam’s rich culture, delectable cuisine, exhilarating adventures, and the enduring charm of the Brahmaputra River. This festival serves as a significant platform to highlight the state’s heritage while inviting travelers from around the world to experience its unique offerings.
Featuring traditional music, dance performances, and handicraft stalls showcasing authentic Assamese art and crafts, the carnival offers visitors a chance to take home locally made souvenirs. One of the main attractions of the event was a live concert by renowned singer Papon on January 31, which drew a massive crowd.
For adventure enthusiasts, the carnival boasts an array of adventure sports and thrill-seeking activities, including speedboat rides, kayaking, jet skiing, ATV rides, river rafting, and bungee jumping. These experiences allow visitors to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Brahmaputra River while indulging in adrenaline-pumping adventures.
