IRCTC Launches 12-Day Bharat Gaurav Train Tour Covering 7 Jyotirlingas

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train service offering pilgrims a chance to visit seven of India’s most sacred Jyotirlingas—revered shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The 12-day journey, beginning November 18, 2025, from Yog Nagri Rishikesh Railway Station, will cover prominent temples, including Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Nageshwar, Somnath, Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar, and Grishneshwar. Pilgrims will also visit other significant spiritual sites, such as the Dwarkadhish Temple and Bet Dwarka.

The itinerary spans 11 nights and 12 days, concluding on November 29, 2025. The train is equipped with 767 berths (Comfort: 49, Standard: 70, Economy: 648) across three categories.

The Indian Railways is providing a 33% concession under the Bharat Gaurav scheme to promote domestic religious tourism. The above package price includes the concession.

Passengers are required to carry valid identification, such as Voter ID or Aadhaar Card, along with proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

According to IRCTC officials, the initiative aims to offer devotees a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching journey, combining faith, tradition, and the convenience of modern rail travel.
