Expected to open for public use shortly, once operational, the new link road will significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and Jaipur to just 3 to 3.5 hours. According to officials, the expressway is fully constructed and ready for traffic. The final opening now hinges on a series of mandatory safety audits and a clearance from NHAI headquarters. The new route is a crucial part of the greenfield expressway corridor connecting Jaipur with the Delhi–Noida Direct (DND) Flyway.
The road design provides seamless integration with key city traffic points. Vehicles from Jaipur, particularly those approaching from Rotary Circle, will use a dedicated slip lane at the Bagrana crossing to access the link. Meanwhile, traffic from the Ring Road can enter via a ramp at the cloverleaf junction.
On the opposite end, vehicles coming from Bandikui will take an elevated ramp with dual exits—one leading to the Jaipur-bound side of Agra Road and the other connecting to the Ring Road, ensuring smooth movement in multiple directions.
NHAI officials stated that this stretch would enable commuters to reach the DND Flyway in as little as 2.5 hours. However, those heading to the Jaipur Railway Station or Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport should expect an additional 30 to 45 minutes of travel.
The final piece of the puzzle—the construction of a Railway Overbridge (ROB)—was the last pending component of the project. While earlier plans considered opening the road in April with a temporary diversion, authorities chose to wait for full infrastructure readiness before launch.
The expressway link is poised to transform intercity connectivity, offering faster, safer, and more efficient travel for thousands of daily commuters.
