Madhya Pradesh receives the “Best Tourism State of the Year” award at the Travel and Tourism Conclave in New Delhi.
Madhya Pradesh, often referred to as the "Heart of India," has once again proven its mettle as a premier travel destination by clinching the coveted ‘Best Tourism State of the Year’ award. The prestigious accolade was presented during the National Tourism Awards ceremony, organized in New Delhi to honor excellence in the travel and tourism industry.
Known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and vibrant traditions, Madhya Pradesh has consistently emerged as a favorite among domestic and international tourists alike. The state’s remarkable tourism offerings include UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Khajuraho Temples and Sanchi Stupa, wildlife sanctuaries such as Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks, and picturesque destinations like Pachmarhi and Mandu.

Adventure enthusiasts also have numerous options to enjoy in Madhya Pradesh, from boating on the serene Narmada River to trekking through the rugged Satpura mountains and discovering the ancient Bhimbetka caves. These thrilling activities, coupled with the state’s rich historical and cultural heritage, make Madhya Pradesh a compelling destination for travelers with varied interests
Tourism officials attribute this success to the state’s sustained efforts to improve infrastructure, launch innovative promotional campaigns, and prioritize sustainable tourism practices. The "Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board" has actively engaged in digital marketing, themed festivals, and collaborative ventures to enhance the tourist experience. Campaigns like ‘Heart of Incredible India’ have further positioned the state as a must-visit destination.
Additionally, the state has introduced niche tourism experiences, such as heritage walks, eco-tourism, and adventure activities, which cater to the evolving preferences of modern travelers. Initiatives to promote homestays and rural tourism have also contributed to the sector’s growth by offering authentic cultural experiences.
State officials celebrated the recognition as a testament to Madhya Pradesh's dedication to creating a tourist-friendly environment. They emphasized their commitment to further enriching the state’s tourism portfolio.
With this award, Madhya Pradesh continues to solidify its reputation as a leading force in India’s tourism industry, promising even greater strides in the years ahead.
