Newly-launched-Mini-World-Brings-Global-Wonders-to-Visakhapatnam

A world tour may be a costly dream for many, but a newly opened attraction in the city offers a passport-free journey across continents — all in a single stroll.

The Vishwanadh Sports Club at Port Stadium has unveiled Mini World, a unique installation featuring life-size replicas of 12 iconic global landmarks. Spread across a dedicated section of the stadium, the attraction promises an immersive, globe-trotting experience right in the heart of Visakhapatnam.

Visitors can marvel at miniature architectural marvels, including the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Rome’s Colosseum, London’s Tower Bridge, and even the whimsical Far Far Away Castle from Universal Studios Singapore. Each replica is constructed to near-accurate proportions, allowing guests to explore the essence of different cultures and histories up close.

Constructed from durable fiber, the project took nine months to complete with the help of 55 artisans from Kolkata and came at a cost of ₹1.8 crore. Most structures average around ₹8 lakh in cost, while the Florence Cathedral — the crown jewel of the display — stands out with a price tag of ₹15 lakh, thanks to its intricate Gothic design and Renaissance detailing.

Adding to the project’s educational and visual appeal, architecture students from GITAM University are currently refining the final touches. Each monument is paired with an informative board sharing its historical significance and lesser-known facts, while evening illuminations bring the display to life with vibrant lighting.

To enhance visitor engagement, organizers are also planning a family photo package, offering personalized prints for groups of four to commemorate their "global" tour. Mini World is now open to the public and is poised to become a standout cultural and recreational destination in Visakhapatnam.
