It was initially owned and run by a British, but now supervised under Mohan Meakin Limited. Also, the brewery is now converted into a distillery, and it attracts quite a number of tourists every year.

Kuthar Fort 

Built about 800 years ago by the Gorkha Kings, it is one of the oldest structures and the best places to visit in Solan. The noteworthy thing about this place is the intricate artwork and the colourful designs and patterns on the wall, a testament to the brilliant craftsmanship of that era.

Dagshai Jail Museum 

One of the important places in the history of India, this former jail was the place where Mahatma Gandhi voluntarily stayed for one day in support of the Irish people’s demand for Independence from the United Kingdom. It is the only second jail in India that has been converted into a museum after India gained freedom from the British.  

Shoolini Mata Temple 

An important place of worship for the Hindu community in Solan and Himachal Pradesh, this temple is dedicated to Shoolini Mata, a reincarnation of Goddess Durga.
