Located in Srinagar, the Dal Lake attracts tourists throughout the year. Book yourself a ride on the canopied houseboats known as ‘shikaras’. A trip to Gulmarg is incomplete without a cable car ride. Known to be the highest cable car rides in the world, expect breath-taking views of the valley. The first phase is from Gulmarg to Kungdoor which is priced at INR 740 per person, while the second phase is from Kungdoor to Aparwath which costs INR 950 per person. It remains open from 10 AM to 4 PM every day of the week.

Located near the river Lidder, Pahalgam offers an excellent opportunity for water rafting on the upper region of the river. Also, if you are a fan of trekking, the 35 km route will give you an adrenaline rush. There are numerous adventure activities promoted by Kashmir tourism.

Situated at a distance of about 15 km, Harwan is a spectacular spot for paragliding. Look at the scenic valley from the top; spot the Zabarwan Range, Pir Panjal Range and the Dachiga National Park. You can paraglide between 9 AM to 3 PM daily. The tickets cost INR 2700 per person for a 20-minute flight.

The Dal Lake is known for its splendid beauty, and the tranquil shikara ride will only add to the beauty of your surroundings. A number of songs from Bollywood movies have been shot on the Dal Lake, making it even more popular with tourists.
